Feature - James Yellowlees, Pacifica Consultants, Japan

James Yellowlees - B.A. from the University of Toronto and M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo - worked with government early in his career on investment, trade, education, and human resources development projects.

Previously, he taught comparative culture in Japanese at Waseda University in Tokyo and currently teaches at Keio University. He also makes speeches throughout Japan on globalization, education/training and management and human resource issues on a regular basis.

His professional affiliations include: Advisor to the Economist Group (Japan); Board Member of the Balanced Management Association (Japan); Board Member of Global Daigaku.com (Japan's leading education/training vertical portal web site and a leading education/training consultancy in Japan) and Corporate Member of American and Canadian Chambers of Commerce in Japan.

Promoting the development of commerce between Canada and Japan since 1975, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (CCCJ) is a private sector, not-for-profit business organization serving its members through communications, networking and advocacy.

Representing 33 business sectors, the CCCJ is a member-driven, member-focused organization and is the longest serving Canadian Chamber in Asia with over 300 members.聽 CCCJ members represent a broad cross-section of businesspersons and entrepreneurs from Canada, Japan and other countries.
